Yves Rossy Jet Man

March 22, 2013

Swiss ex-military and commercial pilot Yves Rossy invented and built a winged jet pack that spans about 8 feet (2.4 m) and has four small jet engines underneath. He wears a heat-resistant suit similar to that of a race car driver to protect him from the heat of the jet exhaust. It’s been said that he has been contacted by his country’s military for prototypes but kindly refused stating that the device was only intended for aviation enthusiasts.
